机械英语：同样有“行程”的含义，stroke和travel有什么区别？

Stroke 意义之一为「（短促的）一次挥动 / 击打」，在机械领域一般指活塞的一次单向运动，通常译为「冲程」，比如「单缸四冲程柴油发动机」是指每次做功活塞要往复四次的发动机；而它也因此常常用来指代「冲程的行程」，也就是活塞一次单向运动需要移动的长度。描述发动机的说明里常常可以见到「Bore x Stroke: 96 x 96.2mm (3.78 x 3.79in) [1] 」这样的文字，就是指气缸的直径（bore）和活塞冲程的移动距离。

Travel 相对来说则是能指非常宽泛的「移动」或者「行程」，可以说 stroke 就是一种 travel，但反之不一定成立。引用维基百科[2]：
